Kelley Accepted into Fellowship Program
Eastern Shore Community College is pleased to announce Lori-Ann Kelley has been accepted to participate in the Womentech Educators Online Training Fellowship program, funded by the National Science Foundation. It has been highlighted as an exemplary project for boosting recruitment and retention rates of women in technology programs.
The ten-week training program will begin January 28 and will offer community college educators information about the top proven practices and strategies to recruit and retain female students in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs around the country.
The training will be conducted by Donna Milgram, Executive Director of the IWITTS and Principal Investigator of the CalWomanTech Project. She has led national and state trainings and workshops in 43 states.
The online format is designed to fit an educator’s busy schedule. Participants will develop an easy-to-implement recruitment and retention plan. In addition the project will provide long-term support for plan implementation following the training.
Kelley serves as an Adjunct Electronics Instructor at the college. She earned her associate degree from Eastern Shore Community College and her bachelor’s degree from American InterContinental University.
